Best Kentucky Wedding Venues for Hosting Your Entire Wedding Day

Wedding venue shopping is one of the most exciting tasks in the planning process, especially in a places like Louisville and Lexington!

As we talked about in our Why You Should Have Your Entire Wedding at One Venue blog post, there are plenty of reasons to cut out shuffling around all day. So, if you're on the hunt for a wedding venue in Kentucky that has the benefit of staying on-site for the entire day, here are a few you should consider.

Whitehall

Located in the heart of Louisville, the Whitehall mansion is one of our personal favorite choices for couples for several reasons. Not only is this wedding venue a beautiful historical location built in 1909, but couples can have access to a wide range of areas on the property, including the mansion itself as well as the grounds and gardens.

Wedding parties can use the second floor bedrooms for getting ready, and the rest of the property is an ideal location for the ceremony, reception, and portraits.

Peterson-Dumesnil House

Another historical location in Louisville is the Peterson-Dumesnil House. Between the vintage style inside of the home itself, the wrap-around porch, and the grounds on the property, this makes for a great opportunity to host every portion of your wedding day.

Warrenwood Manor

For a venue with a fun blend of Southern characteristics and rustic charm, take a look at Warrenwood Manor.

With over 100 acres of indoor and outdoor spaces to use on your wedding day, you not only have the option to celebrate the day on-site from beginning to end (exclusively from 9 a.m. to midnight!), but you also have a wide range of options to mix and match as you choose!

21C Museum Hotel

One of our personal favorite wedding venues is the 21C Museum Hotel in Louisville. Unique artwork, modern decor, an abundance of natural light, and a rooftop with views of the Ohio river all make this a top choice venue for weddings in the area.

The GlenLary Estate

If you're wanting a range of outdoor backdrops and acres of rolling hills, you may want to consider the GlenLary Estate!

Bridal party members can get ready for the big day in both the Lary Manor and the Cabin, which means less time traveling from place to place and more time spent on enjoying the moment! To top it off, up to 19 guests can stay overnight if they'd like.

The Kentucky Castle

Formerly known as Castlepost, this elegant Kentucky wedding venue is one of the only places of its kind in the entire U.S. The event spaces at this location range from ballrooms, halls, a rooftop, and over 55 acres of outdoor backdrops for portraits.

Two of the top perks at the Kentucky Castle is the farm to table restaurant on-site and the ability to have your bridal party and guests can stay overnight in the boutique hotel!

Gardencourt

Another one of our favorites for an entire wedding day is Gardencourt, built in 1906 and now owned by the Louisville Seminary.

The three-story house has over 4,000 square feet available on the first floor alone (giving you and your guests plenty of space to feel comfortable!) and also features a grand staircase, marble fireplaces and authentic vintage decor. And the outside is just as romantic, with rose gardens and brick walkways just perfect for outdoor ceremonies and wedding photos

The Brown

It may not be a castle, but The Brown Hotel sure knows how to treat every wedding couple like royalty. Walking around this luxurious wedding venue feels like a real-life fairytale!

The Crystal Ballroom and banquet rooms are some of the top locations in Kentucky for a romantic and upscale reception, and their Rooftop Garden is now open for an outdoor option as well! And imagine how elegant your getting ready portraits can look in a hotel with this grandeur!

Ashbourne Farms

Unlike your average farm, this wedding venue on the outskirts of Louisville is all about offering couples a luxurious wedding day experience. Every detail at Ashbourne Farms is pristine: from the fully-renovated barn and manicured lawns to the Bridal House and Grooms Loft available for getting ready on-site.
