Wedding at The Frazier History Museum
Joey & Taylore’s Frazier History Museum wedding was filled with joy and excitement. We loved getting to know them during their engagement session in a local greenhouse and their Frazier History Museum wedding was just as fun!
We love Frazier History weddings because of the clean atmosphere, rooftop ceremony spot, and modern feel.
We partuclarly love the spot outside the Frazier where Joey & Taylore had their first look. The staggered stone floor, string lights, and lush greenery make for a great photo spot!
Take a moment to read their story and see their beautiful wedding day!
Taylore and Joey’s story, like many other fairy tale beginnings, started in the driveway of a rent-controlled college house on a cold, snowy December night. In fact, to add to the romanticism, it was an ugly Christmas sweater party that initially brought the two together.
Joey first laid eyes on Taylore as he pulled up to the house. Naturally, she was wearing a less-than-flattering Christmas sweater, but Joey had never seen anything so beautiful.
After spending most of the night working up the liquid courage to talk to her, Joey finally made his move. As he sauntered across the room to strike up a conversation, he noticed there was exactly one guy at the party wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. Himself.
Instead of being discouraged by what seemed to be an admittedly lame aspect about himself, Joey continued his way across the room. Using the ugly sweater as a springboard for conversation, the two began to really bond. Almost immediately Taylore opened up to him and even asked him on a date!
Not quite.
It turned out that even though his persistence would later lead to a marriage proposal, on this particular night, Taylore promptly revealed that she was not interested and that she had a boyfriend who happened not to be in attendance at the party. But there was something about Taylore that kept him interested despite the initial rejection.
It wasn’t until after the Spring semester that Joey would have his second chance to earn a date with Taylore. During the summer of 2012 (really tough year for the Raiders, by the way), the couple’s paths would cross again... and not by accident!
Through mutual friends, the two got back in touch. Only this time, Joey wasn’t the one extending the interest! Taylore, now boyfriend-less, and Joey, still girlfriend-less, hit it off immediately.
As days turned to weeks and weeks to months, the pair spent the entire summer together. They remained close while Joey studied abroad in Australia, and eventually moved in together to finish out Joey’s final semester at Indiana University.
Shortly after graduating they moved to Columbus, Ohio and have lived there happily ever since! The couple now have a Yellow Lab, Sonny, and a house in German Village near downtown Columbus.
